Inspect Mode Help

Inspect mode can be used to manually extract tabular data from a PDF document.

Extracting Data

1. Click and drag to draw a rectangle containing the data you want.
2. Click the "Create Table" button or '1' on the keyboard
3. Click the "Add Column" button or '2' on the keyboard
4. Position your mouse to where you want a column to be. Click to place it.
5. Click the "Add Row" button or '3' on the keyboard
6. Position your mouse to where you want a row to be. Click to place it.
7. When you're happy with your grid, press the "Extract Grids" button or 'e' on the keyboard
8. The extract data should appear below the document.
9. Click the "Download CSV" button to download the extractions as CSV

Zooming In/Out

Press the '+'/'-' keys or the "Zoom In"/"Zoom Out" buttons

Changing Pages

Press the left/right arrows or the "Previous Page"/"Next Page" buttons

Moving Text

Click and drag to select one or more text elements. Click and drag to move the text elements

Breaking Up Text

Click and drag to select one or more text elements. Click the "Break Up Text" button or 'B' on the keyboard
